GDC Baseline
The Graphic Designers of Canada asked Ms. Berringer-Chin to be the designer
in profile in their bi-monthly newsletter. The newsletter, Baseline, is
electronically distributed to members of the Southern Alberta chapter
of the GDC, and in every issue interviews a designer to profile. In this
issue, dated August/September 2005, Ms. Berringer-Chin talks about how
she came to be a graphic designer, how she approaches her work, and a
little about her personal life.

Member of the Society of Graphic Designers
of Canada
Since November 2003, Alana Berringer-Chin has been a member of the Society
of Graphic Designers of Canada. This is an association of people in the
design community who promote an ongoing exchange of information. Ms. Berringer-Chin
regularly attends seminars and networking events held on behalf of the
GDC.

Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson presents manual at Nairobi Summit
The Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor-General, helped launch
the Mines Action Canada Working with Young People for a Mine-Free
World at the Nairobi Summit for a Mine-Free World. This
56-page, multi-language resource manual was designed by Luoda Design.
