How we work

Discovery

How does our relationship begin? Through listening. During our first meeting we learn more about you and your needs. We try to get a clear understanding of your history, target audience, service, product or campaign, budget, timeline, competitors, and more.

Then, we’ll tell you about us. If we’re a good match, we go forth and put together a proposal for you to review.

Research

It’s time for us to part ways and dig deep. During the discovery stage, we may have uncovered needs that hadn’t initially been considered. To get a precise scope of the project, we figure out where we need to go early in the process.

Creative

This is where we lock ourselves up in the office and brainstorm, brainstorm, brainstorm. We take what we’ve learned about you, the services you need, your content, apply our design sensibilities, and create a first set of mockups.

Presentation

You are now presented with the chosen concepts and explanations, which include descriptions of design elements. After considering this information, you decide on which concept to proceed with, and inform us of any revisions at that time.

Development

Whether we’re working on a logo, brochure, website—there is fine-tuning to be done to the chosen design. We make changes in response to your comments. Here we refine and perfect the piece (within the number of versions we agree to in our contract) so that the result is flawless.

Approval

After the development stage, you approve the final design and sign off so we can start production.

Production

We may be supplying logo files to you, getting your stationery package printed, your report printed and bound, or uploading a website. This is the stage at which the actualization of the design happens or in reality TV talk, “the big reveal.”

Evaluation

Let’s look at how things have turned out. Is the piece producing the desired results? How effective has it been? Did we do what we said we’d do in the proposal? We examine the final piece with you and make sure you’re happy with it.
